Using Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powder to....

dust with!!

I discovered Mica Powders when I started to stock them in my online store and having never used them before I treated myself to a set and oh wow I love them they are so versatile and leave a gorgeous shimmer to images.
I have dusted with them for these cards but you can also paint with them by adding a little water to a small amount of the powder, a pinch can be added to some clear embossing powder and then used to give your embossing a real kick and they mix with water in a spray bottle to create wonderful splatter backgrounds.
I love the way that they have a completely different look depending on if you use them on light or dark card stock.
These are definitely a must have for my craft supplies to add a touch of glamour.

Here are a couple of cards on which I used Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powder over an image stamped with a versamark Glue pad, then taking the small brush I dusted over the image with the powder.

The bottom two card blanks are from a set that I got and have never had anything suitable to put on them until I recently got a lovely set of free stamps with a magazine and I think they work very well. Simple and easy cards which look great.

How to dust with Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powders...

You will need...
Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powders of your choice,
Glue pad (I used versamark but any glue pad that you can use to stamp the image will do).
Rubber stamp of your choice,
Dusting brush,
Card stock.

1. Apply glue pad to rubber stamp and stamp impression on to card stock.

2. Using the dusting brush touch the tip of the brush in the mica powder and tap of excess, then gently dab the powder to the image until all the image is covered.

3. I used Lapis Lavender mica powder and I stamped the image on black and white card stock to show how different the colour can be.

Thank you for looking and for any comments you may wish to leave.
